LAS VEGAS (AP) — Nearly 7,000 people were without power in the Las Vegas valley as of Monday afternoon, with Nevada’s dominant electric utility reporting 17 total outage points in southern Nevada. The cause of the outages was under investigation as of 4 p.m., according to NV Energy.

The outage started just after 9:15 a.m. on Tuesday. At one point, more than 2,500+ total customers were affected by the outage. There's no immediate word on a cause.
